Corn Tortillas
Delicious home made corn tortillas with 3 ingredients
Ingredients
2 cups Masa Harina Corn Flour
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 1/2 to 2 cups Hot Water
Instructions
Mix Salt and Flour in a large mixing bowl. Once combined, slowly stir in the water. The dough should be firm and springy when touched.
Cover with a towel and let the dough rise for up to an hour. Can also just be 10 minutes.
Next, form golf-ball sized balls (roughly 2 inches) out of the dough. Use a tortilla press or something else to press the ball into
a flat 6-inch circle. I recommend putting some parchment paper between the press and the tortilla, just so nothing sticks.
Heat up a cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat, NO OIL. Once heated up, cook each tortilla for about 1 minute per side.
Cover with towel after taking out of pan to keep warm. Serve immediately after cooking.
For reheating, do NOT microwave or heat up in oil. Rather, just cook for about 1 minute per side again.
